Can not find blue "Add to Cart" button?

Our website blocks overseas customers. If you are located in Australia, check your VPN settings - a modem reset maybe required if changing VPN settings.

If you are using a work computer that has an overseas internet provider, you will need to use a computer / phone that has an internet provider based in Australia. 


Where can I find the product’s model number?

Most of the time you will find the model number on the back of the unit, however this can vary with differing products. Check the sides, bottom or behind any removable parts if you are unable to find the model number on the back of the unit.

What is a universal remote?

A universal remote is a remote that you can use on many different products. With these remotes you do not get all the features, only the most common features such as volume, channel, menu, etc. These remotes can be either pre-programmed or need to be programmed / linked to the device you intend to control with them before use.

Do I need to link my remote to my TV?

With most original remote replacements no linking is required - just add batteries. Some remotes have bluetooth connectivity which need to be paired to the TV. Pairing instruction information is located under each remote listing on this website.

I have purchased a new original remote from you and it's not working. What's wrong?

Make sure you are using new alkaline batteries and that they are inserted in the correct way. Can try a different brand of batteries, as some may have the positive tip bit shorter and will not make a good contact in some remotes. Also make sure that there is nothing blocking the remote sensor on the unit you are controlling. If the remote still does not working try remote testing (click here) or give us a call on (03) 9376 1333 and we will go through some troubleshooting steps with you or get you to return the remote for testing.

Is it normal when the light flickers on the AC adapter?

No. This means the adapter isn’t working, isn’t plugged in properly or the adapter may be faulty.

My new AC adapter doesn’t charge my battery or laptop. What’s wrong?

First make sure that the adapter is plugged in properly. If the light comes on but it fails to charge, then the cable connected to the laptop or the socket on the laptop may be faulty. If the light doesn't come on then the power lead is faulty, the fuse could be blown, or the power socket on the wall may not be working.

Do you offer any repair or installation services?

No, Speedy Spares only supplies parts and accessories but provides no repair services.
